Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo
Board Chairperson
Cynthia is a marketing communications professional with over 14 years of experience across Ghana, the UK and the USA. She’s currently Group Head for Marketing & Corporate Affairs at Hollard Ghana, a multinational insurance company. In this role, she drives strategic communications and marketing initiatives to enhance Hollard’s brand, identify new market opportunities and grow the business. Cynthia has also held leadership roles across top marketing and communications agencies including Ogilvy, Now Available Africa, and Global Media Alliance.
Cynthia has won a raft of awards for her laudable career accomplishments, including Top innovator in Europe Middle East and Africa by PRovoke Media. She was also named among the 50 most influential young Ghanaians in leadership and civil society by Avance Media. After leading employers and clients to prestigious awards from SABRES, Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana and Institute of Public Relations, it’s little surprise that Cynthia was ranked a top 10 PR Woman in Ghana for three years running. Outside of work, Cynthia co-founded Ghana’s first private basketball league (Rush Community Basketball Tournament) and led comms for TEDxAccra. Cynthia has served on boards including the Global Money Market fund, the Institute of Public Relations Ghana and the Rotaract Club
Charles K. Mensah
Board Member
Mr. Charles K. Mensah is a highly experienced Chartered Management Accountant with excellent business development skills. He has over 3 decades of experience working with Shareholders, Directors, and Management of private corporations and public institutions. Charles is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Windsor Capital, an advisory and investor relations firm in Ghana. He has led the firm to advise on mergers, acquisitions, and divestments for a number of organizations in Ghana such as the Ministry of Information. He is a Senior Partner of Trust Consult Ltd, where he led the development of management systems for Standard Chartered Bank, Liberia National Road Fund and SSNIT, among others.
Charles was the Chief Finance Officer at Multimedia Broadcasting Company Ltd. He played a similar role at the National Lottery Authority, where he increased revenues by over 10x within a 5-year period. He holds an MBA (finance specialisation) from Manchester Business School, UK. He also has multiple certifications including Cybersecurity and Government Performance from Harvard University. Charles chairs the board of Simnet Ghana Ltd and has previously served on the boards of PharmaSymbiosis Ltd, Regal Investments Ltd and the Ministerial Tender Review Board.
Dr. Esi E. Ansah
Board Member
Dr. Esi Ansah is a versatile professional with over 18 years’ experience in higher education, civil society organisations and Human Resources. She holds a PhD in Public Administration from Rutgers University, USA. She is also the Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Axis Human Capital Ltd, a leading HR firm in Ghana. Esi is a certified International Coaching Federation Coach and a licensed Insights® Discovery practitioner who uses the Insights Discovery (personality profile) system in performance and leadership coaching. She serves as a training facilitator for Stanford University’s SEED Program in Accra, leading global CEOs and founders to grow, scale and transform their businesses.
Esi’s life centres around the service of others. In July 2015, Esi climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for charitable causes. She’s spent decades providing strategic leadership to a number of organizations that focus on civil society. She founded the Association of Ghana’s Elders to support ageing with dignity, through innovative programs and advocacy. Esi is raising the next generation of academic leaders at Ashesi University, where she teaches courses including Leadership and Human Resource Management. Her highly engaging approach led to many awards from students, including Most Outstanding Faculty Member and Most Inspiring Faculty Member. Esi serves on a number of boards including the Association for Research on Civil Society in Africa, Emerging Public Leaders, and Aspen Institute’s Africa Leadership Initiative – West Africa.
Comfort Ocran
Board Member
Comfort Ocran is the Executive Director of Springboard. She pioneered Springboard’s Ladies Empowerment and Advocacy Development (LEAD) a mentoring program for young ladies.
She served as a board member of the Ghana Society for the Blind and Moremi Institute, a US-Based fellowship program for mentoring young ladies.
Comfort is an IFC-certified trainer and fellow of the African Leadership Initiative, West Africa (ALIWA), the Aspen Global Leadership Network, based in Colorado, USA, and the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor’s Leadership Program. She is on the board of the Bank of Ghana and Enterprise Insurance.
She has co-authored 26 self-development books. She hosts the weekly Springboard Hangouts for young people online and on TV.
Rev. Albert Ocran
Board Member
Albert is a Director of the Springboard Road Show Foundation. Albert has served on various projects in the youth development space over the past 20 years.
His work with youth was recognized with the Millennium Excellence Award (Motivation) 2010 and the Exclusive Man of the Year Africa Award (Mentorship) 2018. Albert is a Director of the Africa Leadership Initiative, West Africa (ALIWA) and a fellow of the Aspen Global Leaders Network based in Colorado, USA.
He has run educational media outreaches for youth for 14 years, including Springboard, your Virtual University, a personal development broadcast on radio, TV, and online. Albert has co-authored 26 self-development books.
